the age of hipstamatic photos

So posting photos online taken with the iPhone app Hipstamatic is all the rage lately. I took this photo completely by accident but I like it. I don't have anywhere to post it for any reason, so I'm posting it here.

Are people sick of well formatted crisp high resolution photos? Is 2010 the turning point?

Many hands make light work *rimshot*

Have you ever wondered to yourself how many people it takes to change a Stella Artois light bulb? Well wonder no more because the answer is seven!

Spotted outside the bar Leuven in Wellington

More cone shenanigans

This cone spotted sitting on a traffic light in Adelaide Road in Wellington. I can't help but wonder how many drunken attempts it took to succeed.

Black out the Wallabies

There is a very odd promotion in Wellington at the moment where people dress up in lame kangaroo/wallaby costumes, and you are asked to stick black stickers on them to "Black out the Wallabies" - i.e. encourage the All Blacks (NZ) to beat the Wallabies (AUS) in Rugby tonight.

These odd looking kangaroo costumes have been wandering around Wellington in the last few weeks and finally I took a photo of them. They tend to sit creepily and silently down on seats, holding out stickers for you. the photo is bad because I didn't want to go too close.

as much as I am totally uninterested in sport, I did want to shout "Go Wallabies!" every time I saw them :)

Wont someone think of the cables?

There has been a lot of fuss in the media about the race of the middle man changing when this Microsoft ad was used in Poland. But what no one points out is how ridiculous the picture is to begin with. It's about providing IT tools but the monitor and keyboard the woman is using are not plugged in to anything.

You could maybe explain away the keyboard going to an unseen computer, but the monitor doesn't even have a power cable!

Overhead at work today

"So, the G and T keys are pretty close on the keyboard. That's the last time I try to sign an email with 'Regards'..."
